I've Never Seen Star Wars. Shut Up About it Already.

Last night after Andrew was in bed I joined Charlie in the play room to watch a little Star Wars.  He watches some of it every day, but I still have never seen a single one of the movies in its entirety.  (I know.  Shut up!)  I'm not sure the Star Wars Trilogy is appropriate for preschoolers, but I'm suspending my protective instinct because, well, it's Star Wars, and everyone has seen Star Wars.  Except me.

What do you MEAN inappropriate for children?

I sat on a bean bag and Charlie piled onto my lap.  He was telling me who the various characters were, and when I said one of them was gross, he rubbed me on the arm and said, "Don't worry, Mom, if they scare you I'm right here.  I'm right here and I'll take care of you."  It's good to know Charlie's looking out for me.  A minute later he whispered, "You gotta watch this movie though Mom.  It's Star Wars."

  1. I know I saw "Star Wars," but I don't remember much about it. I even saw "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," on a platonic lesbian date. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

  2. So, do you make out on the first platonic lesbian date?
